A change in the provincial rules for international nurses.
The province is working with Ontario Health and the College of Nurses Ontario to get internationally trained nurses working in their designation in hospitals.
More than 1,200 nurses said they’d be interested in participating.
Government officials are working with the nurses to get them matched up with hospitals and on the ground working.
Ontario has added upwards of 17,000 medical and surgical beds to hospitals, but without staff the added the new items would remain as furniture.
