A new study out of South Africa is showing that one of the available vaccines is more effective against the Omicron variant.
The study showed that the Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine is more efficient at keeping people out of the hospital than the others.
Studies were done on data coming from South Africa that compared how many people were vaccinated and had active infections of Delta vs Omicron, as well as hospitalizations.
The information showed that this vaccine specifically had effectiveness against the Delta variant at 93 per cent, and 70 per cent during the Omicron dominant period.
