In an effort to boost electric vehicle sales, a big cash back incentive is aimed at the buyers pocket.
Leader of the Ontario Liberals, Steven Del Duca is promising up to $8,000 for eligible purchases or leases of new electric cars. Then up to another $1,500 on top of that for going towards buying the charging stations you’ll need at home.
In a written statement, Del Duca’s party is also promising upping the number of available charging stations at apartments, workplaces, parking lots, city streets and all OnRoute and GO stations across the province. They even go as far as offering a 30 per cent subsidy for building charging infrastructure.
