The first 15 minutes of parking has been free for curbside pickup in Thunder Bay for several months.
The gesture was put into effect in order to encourage buying local during the pandemic.
Parking Authority Supervisor, Jonathan Paske said in a written release
“Now that patrons can access stores in the traditional way, we will be ending the temporary measures put in place during heightened COVID-19 restrictions. Effective Monday, Nov. 22, you’ll once again have to feed the metre. All traditional parking requirements will be in place and enforced.”
Regular parking fees and monitoring will resume on Monday November 22, 2021.
