Impala Canada lending a financial hand towards Roots To Harvest.
The company announced Wednesday an annual investment of $75,000, which means $375,000 over the next five years.
“That’s perfect…“ said Executive Director, Erin Beagle. “I can plan for it. I know that it’s coming. I can take some risks with it. So in year one, it’s really to establish the space, to do the purchase and renovation, it’ll go towards that.”
Beagle noted that they can also use the funds towards helping the Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre conduct their monthly food meals.
The mining company had previously been part of an industry group donation of $80,000 at the end of April.
Roots To Harvest has a goal of raising $2 million to help purchase, renovate and create programs in the location on Fort William Road.
