You can now go out to the movies again.
The Silver City theatre complex on May Street opened up Friday afternoon after being forced to shut down because of the pandemic.
Sarah Van Lange, a spokesperson for Cineplex, tells us there will be certain protocols in place to prevent any COVID-19 outbreaks.
It will mean that seating restrictions in each individual theatre will keep them at about 60 to 80 percent below capacity.
There are also limitations on what you can purchase at the concessions. For instance, you will be able to purchase popcorn, but not poutine.
As for what movies are being shown, there will be mix of new releases along with some classic re-runs.
There is an added bonus, prices for shows have been reduced to $5.
