After a military career spanning almost four decades, Robert Cooke is retiring as the commanding officer of Thunder Bay’s HMCS Griffon.
Cooke tells us his replacement is Lieutenant Commander Nathaniel Moulson, a regular forces officer who is transfering to the reserves.
He says Moulson lives in the city and has not had experience with the reserves before “but is getting an earful right now.”
Cooke explains his final day is expected to be in early August with the formal change of command ceremony set to take place sometime in the fall.
