We were lucky to take part in the 20th Annual Parade of Lights on Saturday. Our friends at Gary’s Towing & Equipment Xpress did an AMAZING job on the two floats. They put in so many hours, resources and creativity. Dave and his team are awesome and we really appreciated being included. Ed and Andy from Country105 and myself were all along for the ride and we had a BLAST!
This year was a record for the number of entries. More than 120! Such an awesome atmosphere and the lights were wicked-awesome.
In addition to the general festive feeling and beautifully decorated trucks (and a helicopter!) the Parade of Lights supports charities including local chapters of Special Olympics Ontario, Autism Ontario, George Jeffrey Children’s Centre and the Thunder Bay Therapeutic Riding Association.
I learned a couple of things from participating in this parade … 1. Bring mitts … 2. Andy Captain can floss like a dental hygienist. If anyone has footage of him dancing, feel free to send it to us 🙂
