Smokers take another hit on their vice.
As of today, the price of a carton of cigarettes increased by 4 dollars.
The increase was initially announced in the 2017 budget, but is only now takes effect.
The Canadian Cancer Society applauds the move, saying higher prices are the most effective strategy to reducing smoking, especially among young people. (File photo)
