There’s a growing community in Thunder Bay which is celebrating Black History Month.
Colleen Peters of the Caribbean African Multicultural Association tells us it’s a group which is expanding year by year.
Peters calls it a ” pretty decent population of black families” in the city.
She says some are new to Canada and others are the ones attending college or university and who chose to stay here.
Peters note that she came to the city in 2003 when there were very few black people.
After advancing through university she decided to make Thunder Bay home and further her professional career as a social worker.
