Three Americans have discovered the hard way, that we frown upon smuggling guns into our country.
The Canada Border Services Agency says both incidents happened on Canada Day.
In the first instance, a man from New Mexico tried crossing the Pigeon River border and admitted he hid the pieces of his firearm throughout his luggage.
At the Rainy River crossing, two Texas residents were found to have guns in their vehicle, one under the centre arm rest, the other in a bag in the front seat.
Officials say the firearms and magazines were seized and the travellers were arrested. (Photos: CBSA)
