The Canadian military is once again under fire over the issue of sexual harassment.
A former reservist from Thunder Bay is applying for a class-action lawsuit claiming the military encourages a culture of gender-based discrimination against women.
Legal documents allege Sherry Heyder faced ongoing harassment during her time in the Armed Forces in the 1990s.
The document says what it calls a “discriminatory and sexualized culture” discourages women in the military from reporting sexual harassment.
None of the claims have been proven in court.
