The wife of Thunder Bay singer Bobby Curtola, Karyn Rochford, was killed in a fatal head-on collision in Maitland, Nova Scotia.
The three-vehicle crash happened on Highway 103 around one o’clock Tuesday afternoon during strong windy conditions and rain.
Police say the cause of the crash is not known, but they believe weather was a factor.
A 68 year-old man was taken to Bridgewater hospital with minor injuries.
On Bobby Curtola’s official Facebook page, there’s a message referring to Rochford as the love of his life.
Curtola, who was the first Canadian to have a gold record back in 1966, was born in Port Arthur in 1943.
